Senior Energy Expert
Nader H.Sultan is a Senior Partner in the company F&N Consultancy. The firm specializes in high level strategic advise related to the energy industry. Prior to this position,he had worked for 33 years in the Kuwait oil industry,and from 1993, he was the Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of Planning of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC).
In 1998, he was also appointed as the CEO of KPC. He retired in September 2004 and formed F&N Consultancy with his brother Fawzi. He is currently the Director of the Oxford Energy Seminar,which is an annual two week program, at St. Catherine’s College, Oxford Univeristy. In Kuwait he is the Chairman of Ikarus Petroleum Industries, a newly established company with ownership in several petrochemical ventures in the GCC and serves on the Supervisory Board of the Al-Markaz Energy Fund.
Outside of Kuwait, Mr. Sultan serves on the International Advisory Boards of Dana Gas and Riverstone Holdings LLC, Schlumberger Business Consulting and the European and Middle East Panel for Nomura International Plc.
Since late 2009, he has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Fluor Corporation.
Mr. Sultan was educated at King School Gloucester,and is a graduate of the University of London with a B.Sc. degree in Economics in 1971.

I hold a PhD in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from Harvard University, an MBA from the French College des Ingénieurs, and an Executive Certificate in Private Equity and Venture Capital from Columbia Business School. Upon moving to the US in 2016, I taught corporate governance at Harvard Business School.
With the conviction that scaling and commercializing low-carbon technologies is necessary to modernize and future-proof heavy industry, I coach CEOs and senior leadership teams in how to get there. Leveraging a successful career in French industry from 1997 to 2016, where I served as global head of R&D for Areva (now Orano) and Air Liquide - multinational corporations in nuclear energy, renewables, and industrial gases. I led international Research & Development operations on a range of decarbonization technologies, including: Hydrogen production and use for energy storage or propulsion, construction of carbon capture and sequestration (CCS),Fischer-Tropsch GTL and pyrolysis to make biofuels from waste products.

Shahid is a research fellow at the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Centre (KAPSARC), Saudi Arabia. He has over 25 years of research and consulting experience in three geographic regions (South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East) with expertise in identifying and addressing economic, policy, regulatory, technology, and sustainability issues relevant to energy transition. His current research focuses on the prospects and challenges of developing a hydrogen economy, electricity market reforms, and issues concerning electricity market integration in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Before joining KAPSARC, he worked with the Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), an energy policy think-tank based in India, where he consulted extensively on policy, regulatory, and market design for governments, electricity regulators, public utilities, and the electricity industries in India and Southeast Asia. He has also contributed to several government reports aimed at facilitating the transition of India’s energy sector and worked closely with a diverse set of clients/stakeholders- industry, industry forums, regulators, public and private utilities, governments, academia, international research institutions, bilateral and multilateral organizations in different geographies.

has more than 20 years’ experience in the gas Industry. He started his career as a gas engineer in 2004 at Petrobel company (one of Eni's joint ventures in Egypt), and held several roles from field operations to production planning until held the position of production department manager.
Since 2013, he joined the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC), in Kuwait. He acts as the organization’s gas/hydrogen expert who is responsible for developing and reflecting OAPEC views and insights on hydrogen as well as the gas and LNG developments regionally and globally. Mr. Moati also represents OAPEC in the UN Group of Experts on Gas in Geneva.
Mr. Moati has received several global awards and honours. In 2021, he was awarded “The rising Star Global Energy Award” from S & P Global Platts in New York, USA.

Olivia directed Clean Air Task Force’s Middle East, and North Africa (MENA) Energy Transition Director, a global non profit working to develop the technological and policy changes needed to achieve zero-emissions industries.
